Content Overview

The National Aspiring Leaders Programme is designed to develop leadership focused on improving student learning outcomes in schools.

Aspiring NLP is facilitated by a team of several experienced kaiārahi who are all current or former principals, including Dave Randell, Grant Lander, Dave Bell, Dr. Peter Ferrar, and Pauline Cowens.

 - PLG1 (in Term One): Auckland (venue TBC)

 - PLG2 (in Term Two): Online

 - PLG3 (in Term Three): Regional

 - PLG4 (in Term Four): Christchurch (venue TBC)

Business Meeting
Mentoring Sessions and Well-being Support
  • 1 x Face-to-face mentoring sessions (visit to your kura) from your assigned Aspiring NLP Kaiarahi

  • 2 x Virtual mentoring sessions from your assigned Aspiring NLP Kaiarahi

  • 1x Group Coaching with your Kaiārahi  at the regional PLG

  • Connection, peer support and networking with learning partner

Professional Readings

Three engaging and informative texts can be sourced yourself or issued from the library. Options to discuss the readings.

Aspiring NLP is currently not a Ministry of Education funded project although Growth Culture is a distinguished Ministry of Education Professional Learning and Development provider.

Participants who graduate from the Aspiring National Leaders Programme receive Growth Culture accreditation (GC701) and the Aspiring National Leaders Programme certification.
