About the event

If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together by learning the art of collaboration. Discover the power of better teaching practices, collegial engagement and community collaboration; and the secrets of how the best collaborators work so productively and creatively together to achieve phenomenal outcomes.

This highly engaging and insightful workshop is filled with self-discovery as it tackles a range of different area of collaboration, from the classroom to the boardroom, with a focus on the three strands:

  • Children: Collaborative teaching and learning
  • Colleagues: Collaborative leadership and collegial practices
  • Community: Collaborative community partnerships

COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE is a fresh look at best-practice pedagogy as well as emergent research that is proven to actually work in improving collaboration at all levels within and beyond your kura or school. The workshop is designed for all teachers and leaders working collaboratively and/or teachers who are looking to develop collaborative practices and partnerships within, across and beyond their school/kahui ako.

The workshop is created and delivered by Growth Culture’s highly experienced team in collaboration with various field-leading experts. COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE is engineered with an outward-looking perspective. However, it has a particular emphasis on participants own well-being, emotional intelligence and skills to equip and empower them as effective collaborative practitioners. Grounded in recent neuroscience and behavioural research, along with cultural responsiveness to engage and empower collaboration with whanau, hapu and iwi, you will come away from this one-day workshop equipped with the practical skills, resources and tools to help individuals and teams create collaborative cultures.
